A Woodpecker’s Dilema

Sharing is caring!

Originally the bowl of grape jelly was put on our porch to attract orioles, but as it turns out other birds, like woodpeckers and grosbeaks, enjoy it too. The red-bellied woodpeckers are big fans, especially when ants are crawling around on the jelly.

On hot days, the jelly gets extra thick and sticky. And when you have a big beak, sometimes the jelly sticks to it.

Problem solved.
