Grape jelly is a summer staple on my porch. It goes out in May, stays until the first frost and is a great attractor of orioles, grosbeaks and woodpeckers. This summer the jelly has been disappearing at record rates. And now I know why – the little red squirrels that have been torturing Mia have also been helping themselves to the jelly. They gobbled up half of the jar today, licking it clean.
