Sandhill Cranes

Greater sandhill cranes coming in for the night at the Kiwanis Youth and Conservation Area, overlooking Michigan Audubon’s Baker Sanctuary in Bellevue, Michigan. We watched at least a thousand cranes land in the marsh over the course of an hour. As part of their migration south, thousands of sandhills cranes spend several weeks hanging out in Baker Sanctuary.
