Golden Milk gets its namesake color from turmeric. Sweetened with honey, it's delicious heated in a mug or as an alternative to your favorite coffee creamer.

    What You Need

    • Milk
    • Turmeric
    • Honey
    • Ground ginger
    • Ground cinnamon

    How to Make Golden Milk

    Prepare Your Spice Bundle

    Spices ready to be bundled
Spice bundle ready for the milk

In the middle of a coffee filter or piece of cheesecloth, place the turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Stir the spices together.

Carefully gather the edges of the coffee filter together to form a bundle and secure at the top with kitchen twine or unflavored dental floss.

    Set aside.

    Make the Golden Milk

Heat milk on the stove over medium heat until the mixture is warm, but NOT bubbling or boiling.

Stir in the honey until it dissolves.

    Remove from heat.

Add the spice bundle and let the mixture steep for 2-3 hours while the milk cools to room temperature.

Store the milk in a glass container. (Turmeric will stain plastic.)

Add Golden Milk to your coffee in place of your regular coffee creamer or heat some up and enjoy as is.

    Enjoy it with...
