    Orange Vanilla Body Scrub

Homemade scrubs are super simple to mix together and cost so much less than anything you’ll find in the store. This Orange Vanilla Body Scrub is 4 ingredients, mixes up in 5 minutes, and smells delicious.

    Orange Vanilla Body Scrub

Luxurious bath products are my weakness, and thanks to rich, creamy coconut oil, this scrub definitely feels luxurious. Coconut oil doesn’t smell like coconut, so if you’re not a fan, no problem. This body scrub smells 100% like a Creamsicle.

    Ingredients for Scrub

    • White sugar
    • Coconut oil
    • Orange zest
    • Vanilla extract

How to Make Orange Vanilla Sugar Scrub

Place coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 5 second intervals until soft, but not melted. Stir coconut oil until no lumps remain.

    Warm coconut oil

In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar and orange zest.

Sugar and orange zest mixed together.

Add vanilla extract and whisk until well combined.

Adding vanilla to sugar and orange zest

Pour sugar mixture into softened coconut oil.

Mix together until everything is well incorporated.

Spoon into a jar and store at room temperature.

    To use:

Scoop out some scrub and massage it into wet skin.

Rinse thoroughly and pat your skin dry.

    Enjoy your super soft skin!

Tips on Orange Vanilla Body Scrub

Can I use this scrub on my face?

Nope! This scrub is not for use on your face. Use from your shoulders, down. 🙂

    How long will it keep?

Because of the fresh zest and lack of preservatives, this scrub will keep for 3-4 weeks at room temperature.

What if I don't like the smell of oranges?

Leave out the orange zest for a lovely vanilla sugar scrub.

Can I store this scrub in the shower?

Yes! I store this body scrub in my shower and use it 1-2 times per week to keep my skin soft. It’s great for smoothing hands, feet, elbows, and other rough patches of skin.

What kind of jar should I use to store it in?

Use any kind you like, though be careful of glass jars in the shower! I save jars from other products I've bought - containers from jellies, jams and relishes or old beauty products work really well - and repurpose those for my DIY scrubs.
