Whether you choose to rim your glass with coarse salt, or skip it, this delicious sparkling grapefruit mocktail is the perfect sip for your next Taco Tuesday. 

Ingredients

  • 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 oz grapefruit simple syrup
  • 2 oz club soda
  • Coarse salt

Instructions

Run a piece of grapefruit around the rim of a rocks glass and dip the rim in a shallow dish of coarse salt. Fill with ice and set aside. 

Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. 

Shake well and pour into the prepared glass. 

Top with club soda.  Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired. 

Stir and enjoy!

Notes

For the Grapefruit Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring 1/2 cup water to a simmer. Add 1/2 sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and add 2 - 3 inch pieces of grapefruit peel. Let the peel infuse in the syrup until the syrup has reached room temperature. Remove peels and refrigerate syrup until ready to use.
