Delicious & Easy Appetizers

Make something tasty to go along with your happy hour sips. These easy appetizers can be made in advance and reheated (if needed) when you’re ready to snack.

Recipe: Three Cheese Artichoke Dip

This creamy, garlicky three cheese artichoke dip is a delicious alternative to the usual appetizers and sure to be a hit at your next party.


1 – 14 oz can artichoke hearts 
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
1 tsp lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees. 

Rinse, drain, and finely chop the artichoke hearts. 

Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Stir in the sour cream and chopped artichoke hearts. 

Add 1 cup mozzarella cheese along with the Parmesan cheese, garlic, lemon juice, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the cream cheese mixture. 

Mix well to combine. 

Spoon mixture into a greased pie plate. 

Sprinkle with remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese. 

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese on top is golden brown and edges of drip are bubbling. 

Serve warm with crackers, crostini, or raw veggies.

  • Low fat cream cheese and low fat sour cream work well in this recipe.
  • This dip is best served hot or warm.

How to: Make Pitcher Drinks

Love entertaining, but don’t want to spend your time bartending? That’s where Pitcher Drinks come in. Make one for the adults, and another for the kids! 


1 can frozen condensed juice*, thawed
Vodka (for cocktails)
Triple sec (for cocktails)
Lemon lime soda (for mocktails)

To start, empty the can of condensed juice into a large pitcher

For cocktails:

Using the juice can to measure, add 1 can of vodka, ½ can of triple sec, and 1 ½ cans of water to the pitcher.


Enjoy your pitcher cocktails! 

For mocktails:

Using the juice can to measure, add 1 can of lemon lime soda, and 2 cans of water to the pitcher.


Enjoy your pitcher drinks! 

*Berry or cranberry juice blends work best for afternoon cocktails. Try an orange blend for a fun brunch cocktail.

Recipe: Avocado Bruschetta


Recipe: Avocado Bruschetta

3 roma tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
½ large avocado, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, divided
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
French bread, small loaf
Parmesan cheese, small block

In a bowl, combine tomatoes, avocado, garlic, basil, balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper. Set aside.


Slice french bread crosswise into thin rounds. Brush both sides of each bread slice with remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Place on baking sheet and broil bread until toasted on both sides, flipping bread half way through. Set aside.


Use a vegetable peeler to carve small slices of Parmesan cheese off of the block of cheese. Set aside.

To assemble: Place toasted bread on a plate or platter. Spoon tomato and avocado mixture on top of the bread. Sprinkle with Parmesan slices. Serve immediately.
