Amazing Stovetop Cheeseburgers

Butter brioche buns or brush them with olive oil. Toast in a hot skillet - oiled side down - until golden brown. Remove from heat.  

Mix together mayo and dijon mustard. Spread on toasted buns. Top one side with sliced raw onion and/or pickles. Set buns aside. 

Make thin, 3-4 oz patties from 80/20 ground beef. Smash flat. Salt and pepper one side. Cook seasoned-side down in a skillet over medium-high heat. 

Salt and pepper the top side. Flip patties after 3 minutes. Cook for another 2 minutes. 

Top with American or cheddar cheese slices. 

Cover the pan and continue cooking until cheese is melted. 

Place 1 patty on the bottom of a prepared bun. Top with a second cheeseburger patty. 

Add the top bun to the burger and DIG IN!
