Apple, Bacon & Goat Cheese Crostini

Cook bacon according to package directions. Drain on a paper towel. Dice or crumble cooked bacon into small pieces. Set aside.

Cut the bread into 12 thin slices. Brush both sides of slices with olive oil. Broil on low heat to toast the bread. Rub a peeled garlic clove over 1 side of each slice of toasted bread.

In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of honey with the goat cheese, salt, and pepper.

Spread the goat cheese on the crostini slices. Lay two slices of apple on top of the goat cheese mixture.

Drizzle the crostini pieces with the remaining honey. Sprinkle them with diced bacon (or pecans) and fresh sage. Serve immediately.
