Easy Vanilla Syrup for Coffee

Ingredients:  – Sugar – Water – Vanilla extract or vanilla beans

Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. 

Stir in vanilla extract (or add vanilla beans to syrup) and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Cool the syrup completely before using in cold drinks.  Stir into your favorite coffee or lattes.

Use vanilla simple syrup to sweeten hot or cold coffee, or mix with cream and club soda for a homemade vanilla french soda.
