Easy Hibiscus Simple Syrup

What you need:  – 1 cup sugar – 1 cup water – 1 tablespoon dried hibiscus flowers

Heat the water to boiling. Add in sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Remove syrup from stovetop. Stir in dried hibiscus flowers. Let mixture steep until syrup has reached room temperature.

Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer placed over a bowl. Discard the hibiscus flowers.

Store your hibiscus syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
