Sweet Ginger Peach Iced Tea
– Fresh ginger
– Black tea
– Brown sugar
Place sliced peaches and brown sugar into a quart jar.
Add lemon juice into the jar. Stir to combine and let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
Muddle the mixture to completely crush the peaches. Set aside.
Bring water to a boil.
Remove from heat and add black tea and fresh ginger. Let mixture steep for 3-5 minutes.
Strain out the ginger and tea bag. Pour half of the hot tea into the quart jar with the peach mixture.
Stir until the brown sugar has fully dissolved, then add in the rest of the tea. Cover and place the jar in the refrigerator until it has cooled completely.
Shake the jar well before serving the tea in glasses over ice. Garnish with slices of peach and/or a lemon wedge.
