Homemade  Mint Simple Syrup

Ingredients:  – Sugar – Water – Fresh mint leaves

Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.

Add sprigs of fresh mint to the pot of hot syrup and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Remove the mint using a fork or fine mesh strainer. Refrigerate syrup until ready to use.

Use mint syrup to sweeten iced tea, in your favorite hot chocolate, or instead of traditional simple syrup in mojito cocktails.
