1tbspvanilla extract , Or 1-2 large vanilla beans, split in half
Instructions
Bring water to a low boil in a small pot over medium heat.
Add sugar and stir until sugar has dissolved.
Add in vanilla extract or vanilla bean.
Remove from heat.
Let the mixture sit until it reaches room temperature. (This is especially important if you’re using a vanilla bean instead of extract.) Remove vanilla bean, if using, or leave it in for a stronger vanilla flavor.
Pour into a glass, airtight container.
Store syrup in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
