- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.75 oz simple syrup or basil simple syrup
- 5-7 fresh basil leaves
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker half filled with ice, combine gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and fresh basil leaves. Cover and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Double strain into a Nick and Nora glass.
Garnish with a lime twist or small basil leaf.
Sip and enjoy!
Notes
Note: Shaking will break down the basil leaves. We're doing this instead of muddling the basil, so don't skimp on the shaking. Shake well and count to 10 while you're doing it. If you're using a metal shaker, the outside should feel extremely cold right after you finish shaking your drink.
