Jump to Recipe Print RecipeThis fresh and savory Mango Peach Salsa is a delicious way to enjoy summer produce. Serve it with your favorite tortilla chips, or use it to top grilled chicken or fish.
Made with fresh ingredients you can easily find at your local grocery store, this fresh mango peach salsa recipe is a celebration of summer flavors. Fresh fruit is necessary here as it has the best flavor, so skip the frozen or canned fruits for this recipe.
As written, this recipe has a hint of heat and can easily be adjusted to have no spice. If you prefer spicier salsa, just add an additional jalapeño pepper or up the spice factor significantly by swapping habanero peppers in place of the jalapeños.
The perfect topping for a number of grilled meats and fish, this fresh peach mango salsa recipe comes together in just minutes and is a great way to get more summer produce on your plate. It'll quickly become one of your summertime go-to recipes.
What’s in Mango Peach Salsa
- Peaches - Juicy, ripe peaches work best here, so be sure to give your peaches time to ripen before making this salsa. Do not use frozen peaches or canned peaches.
- Mango - Any type of fresh mango you like (or have access to) is delicious in this salsa. Do not use frozen mango or canned mango.
- Tomato - I prefer using a large, greenhouse tomato or heirloom tomato for this recipe because they have more flesh and less skin versus smaller, cherry tomatoes. Roma tomatoes also work well in this recipe. Just be sure to choose fresh tomatoes, not canned ones.
- Sweet Onion - Choose a vidalia onion or other sweet onion for this recipe. You want onion flavor without the sharp bite of a traditional white or yellow onion. If you can’t find sweet onions, use a red onion instead.
- Cilantro - Fresh cilantro gives this salsa lots of fresh flavor along with a good dose of color. If you’re not a fan of cilantro, simply leave it out.
- Garlic - Flavor and a little bite come from fresh garlic. If you want to skip the sting of fresh garlic, swap it out for one teaspoon of garlic powder.
- Jalapeño peppers - This is completely optional, but if you prefer spicy salsa, a finely diced jalapeño pepper brings the heat while complimenting the fruit in this recipe.
- Lime juice - Squeeze a fresh lime over the salsa for some big, bright flavor. You’ll need about half of a fresh lime for this recipe.
- Salt - A little salt brings everything together and highlights the sweetness of the fruit.
How to Make Mango Peach Salsa

Place everything in a large bowl, tossing well to combine. (Start with 1 teaspoon of salt, mix it in, taste, then add the second teaspoon if you’d like.)
Serve at room temperature or chilled, with your favorite tortilla chips.
NOTE: This recipe is NOT intended for canning and should be enjoyed within a day or two of making it.
How to Serve Mango Peach Salsa
Besides being delicious on its own with a big pile of tortilla chips, mango peach salsa is perfect to serve over grilled chicken, fish, pork chops, or grilled pork tenderloin. Or use it to top fish tacos or shrimp tacos.
Recipe Tips
- The salsa will produce lots of juice, especially after you add the salt. You can leave it as is or strain some of the liquid off before serving - your choice!
- While delicious when it’s initially made, this salsa gets even better if you let it hang out an hour or two before serving so the flavors can mix together.
- Store any leftover mango peach salsa in a covered, airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
