Remember those fruit cocktail cups from school lunches? The ones full of peaches, pears, green grapes and pineapple pieces with (if you were lucky) that lone cherry in the mix? This Fruit Punch Mocktail brings that childhood joy into your glass! With a refreshing blend of four fruits and a splash of grenadine, this mocktail offers a nostalgic twist on the traditional fruit punch, making it the perfect drink for both kids and adults alike.

I am not a traditional fruit punch fan. That bright red punch is a hard pass for every member of my family. So in creating this mocktail recipe, my goal was to create something I could have in the fridge for anything from a hot summer weekend to a big family gathering.

The funny (and fun) thing about testing mocktail recipes is that my daughter gets super involved in the process. For this non-alcoholic fruit punch recipe we taste tested our way through multiple variations to make sure all of the flavors balanced just right. It took a little time, but this mocktail really does taste like the classic fruit cocktail served in the elementary schools of my childhood.

Whether you’re hosting a sunny afternoon gathering, a birthday party, or simply looking for a refreshing drink to enjoy at home, this fruit punch mocktail is sure to be a hit! Easy to make by the glass or pitcher – and visually stunning with its gently layered look – this fruit punch is a delightful way to celebrate any occasion while keeping things alcohol-free.

Ingredients

The ingredients for fruit punch mocktails.
  • White grape juice – This is the backbone of this mocktail, but white grape juice also has the strongest flavor so we’re using the least amount here. Do not swap this out for concord grape juice. Only white grape juice works for this recipe.
  • Peach juice – Peach nectar works here too, if you’re having trouble finding peach juice. Skip the blends as they’re usually apple juice based and full of other flavors.
  • Pear juice – This is easily found in the baby aisle of your grocery store. Gerber makes 100% pear juice for babies and toddlers that I use any time I need pear juice.
  • Pineapple juice – Look for 100% pineapple juice for this recipe. You can easily use the smaller cans from the store if you prefer.
  • Lemon-lime soda – This is adding sweetness and fizz to your mocktail, which is needed with all of the juice. The temptation is to decide there’s too much sugar already with all the juice and skip this part, but we’re only using a very small amount of soda and it’s worth it. If you’re really opposed to it, you can use diet soda or club soda in its place.
  • Grenadine – Like that one cherry hanging out in your fruit cocktail cup, a little splash of grenadine adds just the right amount of flavor, color, and sweetness in this mocktail.
  • Green grapes, peach slices, maraschino cherries, or pineapple slices (garnish) – All of these are options for garnish for your drink. Use what you have on hand or is in season when you’re making this drink. There’s no rules on garnish, except to match the flavors in your glass and we have lots of options with that.
