Perfect for a hot day, this tropical Blue Lagoon Mocktail recipe gets its name from its bright blue color. It's an easy summer drink that's quick to make, perfect for serving in a large batch, and ideal for the whole family.

Mocktails are for more than pregnant women and kids! Blue Lagoon Mocktails are ideal for serving at parties where you have guests choosing not to drink alcohol. Because they look exactly like the cocktail version, everyone can make their own choice on alcohol without any of the social stigma.
A mocktail version of a classic blue lagoon cocktail, this drink has a citrusy flavor and needs only a handful of ingredients, plus a few minutes of your time, to mix up. We're using homemade Blue Curaçao Syrup, fresh citrus, and soda to make a quick sip with minimal bar tools.
Serve this blue mocktail in a hurricane glass - or simply a tall glass - filled with lots of ice. (Use crushed ice to up the tropical vibes.) This is a drink that definitely must be served cold! Garnish it as simply or elaborately as you'd like!
Ingredients for Blue Lagoon Mocktails
- Blue curacao syrup - Make homemade blue curacao syrup or buy some at your favorite specialty grocery store.
- Fresh lemon - This mocktail needs balance from fresh lemon. Skip the bottle and squeeze a real lemon. You’ll need about half of a lemon. Swap the lemon for lime juice if you don't have any lemons on hand.
- Lemon lime soda - Choose your favorite brand for this recipe. Diet lemon lime soda or club soda works here too, if you prefer. Or try a flavored sparkling water!
- Fresh orange (for garnish) - Slices or wedges of fresh orange are my favorite way to garnish this mocktail. You can also use fresh lemon slices.
How to Make a Blue Lagoon Mocktail
Pour blue curaçao syrup and lemon juice into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
Fill to the top with lemon lime soda.
Garnish with slices of fresh orange and/or lemon slices.
Stir gently, sip and enjoy.
Tip - If you're looking to add alcohol free spirits to this blue curacao mocktail, mix in 1.5 ounces of a zero proof light rum.
