A combination of fruit juices and ginger ale, a non-alcoholic Cinderella Mocktail is a delicious drink that’s easy to make.

Two glasses of Cinderella mocktails.

Named for the fairy tale character, this drink is sometimes called a Cinderella Cocktail. But this non-alcoholic cocktail is actually a refreshing mocktail that’s perfect for parties, Sunday brunch, or enjoying on hot summer days.

This versatile drink is a tart and tasty tropical mocktail made with a mix of citrus juices and other simple ingredients that are all easily found at your local store. A cinderella mocktail is the perfect choice for anyone who’s a fan of mimosas or wants a less-sweet, fruity cocktail but looking to skip the alcohol.

While some popular adaptations of this drink call for Angostura bitters, those bitters are made from alcohol. So to keep this Cinderella drink recipe 100% alcohol-free, we’re sticking to the more traditional recipe and skipping the aromatic bitters.

Ingredients

Ingredients for a Cinderella mocktail.
  • Pineapple Juice – Choose 100% pineapple juice for this recipe.
  • Lemon Juice – You’ll need about half of a fresh lemon per drink. Squeeze fresh fruit if you’re making only a few. If making a large amount, choose a high-quality lemon juice. (Skip the plastic lemons in the produce section.)
  • Orange Juice – Squeeze about half of a fresh orange to get the ounce of orange juice needed for this drink. Making it for a crowd? Choose a high-quality, not from concentrate orange juice.
  • Grenadine Syrup – While many people think grenadine is cherry flavored, it’s actually a very sweet pomegranate syrup. Find this in the liquor section of your grocery store near the other non-alcoholic cocktail mixers.
  • Ginger Ale – Instead of simple syrup and club soda or soda water, we’re using ginger ale to give this drink its fizz and sugar. You can also use ginger beer if you prefer a stronger spicy ginger undertone. If you don’t like ginger ale or don’t have any on hand, substitute lemon-lime soda.
  • Maraschino Cherry (garnish) – No need to use the expensive maraschino cherries for this drink. Look for the bright red cherries in the ice cream sundae section of your local grocery store.

Make it a Large Batch of Cinderella Punch

This delicious tropical mocktail is perfect for a party!

To make it into a large batch recipe, add 6 ounces of pineapple juice, 6 ounces of lemon juice, 6 ounces of orange juice, and 3 ounces of grenadine to a pitcher. Add 12 ounces of ginger ale just before serving and pour into 6 glasses filled with ice. (These amounts will serve 6. Double this recipe to serve a larger group.)

About Putting Ice in your Pitcher…

I’m not a fan of ice rings or putting ice in the pitcher unless you’re going to serve all of the punch immediately. Filling your pitcher or punch bowl with ice allows it to melt and water down your drink. By placing the ice in the glasses instead of the pitcher or bowl, you’re ensuring the drinks you serve are as delicious as can be and not full of excess water.
