Everyone deserves a delicious drink, and there’s something special about sipping on a delicious drink that feels festive, without having to worry about alcohol. If you love cocktails but want a drink that’s alcohol-free, this mocktail is a must-try.

This apple cider mocktail comes together in just a few minutes with only a handful of ingredients, making it as easy as it is delicious. Even though it’s alcohol-free, it feels like a treat thanks to its bold flavors and thoughtful presentation.

Kids, non-drinkers, and anyone who just wants a break from cocktails will love having something special to sip. And with a cinnamon-sugar rim, cinnamon stick, and apple garnish, it looks every bit as celebratory as it tastes.

Ingredients

Ingredients for a ginger apple mocktail.
  • Apple cider – Fresh apple cider is the key ingredient to this apple cider mocktail, so there’s not swapping or substituting for this one. Find apple cider in the produce section of your local grocery store or (even better) at your local orchard or farm market.
  • Ginger beer – Ginger beer is ginger ale’s stronger and spicier cousin. I like Gosling’s Ginger Beer because of its big ginger bite. If you like a more gentle ginger flavor, try a brand like Fevertree. You can always use ginger ale as well, especially if you’re not a big ginger fan.
  • Cinnamon syrup – Cinnamon simple syrup is easily made at home in 5 minutes with just 3 ingredients – sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks. Get my recipe and syrup tips over on my How to Make Cinnamon Syrup page.
  • Lemon – Fresh lemon juice is a must in this mocktail. With so few ingredients, be sure to squeeze a lemon, plus you’ll need a slice to run around the rim of the glass for your cinnamon sugar garnish. You’ll need about half of a lemon per drink.
  • Apple slices (garnish) – Choose a nice, firm apple to cut for garnish so it can hold up to floating in a drink. Slice your apple along its equator (the opposite of how the core runs) to get slices with a star in the middle of them.
  • Cinnamon and sugar (garnish) – Giving a drink a fancy rim elevates it oh so nicely. You can use a blend of cinnamon sugar that’s already made or mix your own.
