    • Espresso Martini Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)

Whether you're hosting a brunch, winding down after dinner, or simply craving a sophisticated non-alcoholic treat, this mocktail delivers all the elegance of a classic espresso martini with none of the side effects of the real thing. A delicious espresso martini mocktail is a great choice during Dry January, when you're looking for an alcohol-free experience that'll fool your taste buds.

Why Choose a Non-Alcoholic Espresso Martini?

Crafting a mocktail version of the beloved espresso martini allows you to savor its signature balance of robust coffee and velvety texture without the need for spirits. This recipe uses simple ingredients like cold brew coffee, homemade coffee syrup, and pure vanilla extract to replicate the classic flavor profile.

Optional heavy cream adds a creamy layer for those who love their coffee drinks indulgent, while unsweetened cocoa powder brings a hint of bitterness to round out the sweetness.

The secret to this mocktail’s success lies in the careful combination of its ingredients. Start with chilled espresso or cold brew coffee as the base—it provides the strong, aromatic foundation. The homemade coffee syrup, a simple yet flavorful replacement for traditional coffee liqueurs, adds depth and sweetness without alcohol.

A touch of vanilla extract enhances the coffee’s natural warmth, while unsweetened cocoa powder adds complexity and balance. For a creamy twist, a splash of heavy cream gives the drink a long silky smooth finish, perfect for any coffee lover.

    Elevate Your Martini Mocktail Game

This non-alcoholic Espresso Martini Mocktail is quick to make, requires minimal preparation, and can be easily tailored to your taste preferences. Garnished with a few whole coffee beans or espresso beans and a dusting of cocoa powder, this elegant drink looks just as stunning as it tastes.

Pair it with a dessert, serve it at your next party, or simply enjoy it as a mid-afternoon treat. Whatever the occasion, this non-alcoholic espresso martini is sure to impress!

What’s in an Espresso Martini Mocktail

Ingredients for an Espresso Martini Mocktail.
    • Cold brew coffee - Use espresso roast coffee to make the cold brew, or use brewed espresso that’s been chilled. Either way, make sure your coffee is cold before making your mocktail!
    • Coffee syrup - This 2 ingredient simple syrup is a great replacement for coffee liqueur. Make it yourself in just a few minutes!
    • Vanilla extract - Pure vanilla extract will taste the best.
    • Cocoa Powder - Unsweetened cocoa powder as a bitterness needed to balance out the drink.
    • Heavy Cream (optional) - If you like cream in your coffee, add some into your espresso martini. If you don’t - skip it!

Tip: If you love an affogato, definitely add the cream when making this mocktail!

    Make Your Own Coffee Syrup

My coffee syrup recipe is designed to impart bold coffee flavor and be a liquor-free replacement for Kahula and other coffee liqueurs. It’s made from brewed coffee and sugar, so it’s easy to whip up a batch of homemade syrup. Get my full recipe and instructions over on my Coffee Syrup Recipe page.
