Pineapple, lime, orange, and vodka combine for a fresh and delicious pineapple vodka martini that's easy to make and full of fresh citrus flavors.

For this cocktail, we’re skipping the cranberry juice, splash of grenadine, coconut rum, and anything resembling pineapple upside cake or a bahama mama.
Fresh pineapple cocktail ingredients make this the perfect cocktail for those wanting a bright and fruity tropical drink that’s vodka based and not overly sweet.
Pineapple juice cocktails are often rum based, but there’s no such thing as a rum martini. Martinis are either vodka or gin based, and by adding fruit juice and bitters, we’re already stretching the term “martini.” 😉
Vanilla vodka is delicious in my strawberry pineapple martini, but this pineapple martini recipe uses plain vodka with freshly squeezed lime juice and pineapple juice for a fresh pineapple cocktail.
Ingredients
- Pineapple juice - Choose 100% juice that's all pineapple juice, not a blend.
- Vodka - Your favorite plain vodka is great for this cocktail.
- Orange liqueur or triple sec - I love Cointreau as the orange liqueur for my cocktails, but this drink is also delicious with triple sec.
- Simple syrup - Make your own with two pantry ingredients. It keeps for weeks so you can make it up ahead of time and be ready for happy hour.
- A lime - Fresh lime juice is important in this recipe. You'll need about half a lime per drink.
- Orange bitters - Bitters finish this drink off nicely and keep it from being overly sweet.
- Fresh Pineapple - Sliced up for garnish, if you like.
How to Make a Pineapple Vodka Martini
Combine pineapple juice, vodka, orange liqueur, simple syrup, lime juice, and orange bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes.
Shake well. Strain into a martini glass.
Garnish with a pineapple wedge or lime wedge.
Enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- If you don’t have any orange liqueur or triple sec on hand, or are looking to reduce the calories in this drink, swap the orange liqueur for fresh squeezed orange juice or orange simple syrup.
- Keep your drink extra cold by using a chilled martini glass. Place your glass in the freezer for 15 minutes before you make your drink.
FAQs and Substitutions
You make it! Combine ½ cup hot water with ½ cup sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then refrigerate the mixture until it’s cold. >More about simple syrup
Yes. There are very few ingredients in this cocktail, so you need to use the freshest options available. Squeezing a fresh lime won’t take much time. You should need no more than 1 lime per drink, depending on the size of the limes.
Choose your favorite plain vodka for this drink. I love Tito’s Vodka for this recipe.
