Skip to RecipeThis strawberry lemonade cocktail is a delicious cocktail for a hot summer day! We’re combining the flavor of fresh strawberries (in the form of homemade strawberry simple syrup) with fresh lemon juice and vodka for an easy cocktail you can make in minutes.

Spiked strawberry lemonade is a popular alcoholic drink for those warm weather months. However, I don’t always want to go through the hassle of making a batch of homemade lemonade – in addition to the fresh strawberry puree – in order to have a great cocktail.
This strawberry lemonade vodka drink skips that step and instead has you creating the lemonade right in the glass. With fresh fruity flavor from the ripe strawberries in the syrup and brightness from fresh lemon juice, you can create an easy homemade strawberry lemonade at the same time you’re crafting a refreshing cocktail for a hot day.

Ingredients

- Vodka – Choose your favorite plain vodka for this recipe. Change up the flavors with flavored vodka. Try a citrus vodka to increase the lemon flavor or use strawberry-infused vodka to up the strawberry in this cocktail.
- Strawberry simple syrup – Made in less than 5 minutes using only 3 ingredients, homemade strawberry syrup give this recipe the best berry flavor and color.
- Lemons – Fresh lemons makes a HUGE different in the flavor of this cocktail, so take the time to squeeze fresh juice. You’ll need half a lemon per cocktail.
- Club soda – Choose either club soda or sparkling water for this recipe. Up the flavors by using a strawberry or lemon sparkling water, if preferred.
- Mint – Fresh mint in the quintessential lemonade garnish and pairs well with the strawberry and lemon in this drink. Clap a sprig between your hands before garnishing your cocktail for the best flavor.
- Fresh Strawberries (optional) – I love using fresh strawberries as garnish for Strawberry Lemonade cocktails. Feel free to skip this if you don’t have any on hand or used them up making the syrup.

Recipe Tips
Chill your syrup! Be sure to make your strawberry syrup ahead of time so it’s completely chilled when you make your cocktail. Using warm syrup will cause the ice cubes in your drink to melt faster, resulting in a more watered down drink.
Press and roll your citrus. Before you cut and juice your lemon, roll it on your kitchen counter while applying a little pressure with your palm to soften the fruit and get as much juice out of it as easily as possible.
