Fall is full of pumpkin spice everything! Ginger is one of those spices, but its cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove cousins overwhelm it. This Pumpkin Ginger Martini is perfect for pumpkin lovers needing a break from the full suite of pumpkin pie spices.

    Pumpkin Ginger Martini

Plain pumpkin can taste very vegetal, but a little ginger and brown sugar brings this cocktail to life and lets the pumpkin flavor shine through. Ginger and brown sugar warm up the flavor of a Pumpkin Ginger Martini while fresh lemon balances it out and keeps the cocktail from being too sweet.

    What You Need

    Ingredients for Pumpkin Ginger Martinis
    • Pumpkin infused vodka
    • Ginger liqueur
    • Brown sugar syrup
    • A lemon
    • Ginger ale

How to Make a Pumpkin Ginger Martini

Place vodka, ginger liqueur, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker full of ice.

    Tips on Pumpkin Ginger Martini

Where do I find brown sugar syrup?

Brown sugar syrup is easy to make at home by combining ½ cup brown sugar with ½ cup hot water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and cool the syrup completely before using. Learn more on my DIY Cocktail Syrups page.

Can I use ginger beer instead of ginger ale?

If you make this swap, the ginger beer flavor will overwhelm the pumpkin. Ginger ale is used in this cocktail to get the right balance of flavor.

Can I use bottled lemon juice?

This cocktail only uses 5 ingredients, so fresh juice will make a big difference here. Squeeze a lemon for this cocktail. You should need about ½ of a fresh lemon.
